Sketching Week 10

This week has been busier than usual, perhaps because of the storm warnings.

As a result I haven't managed to do as much sketching as I wanted to.

However, here are two of my efforts.
The first is the portrait, from the daily paper, of a 105 year old lady who died this week.

And the other is a landscape.

This is a view of the Motunui methanol factory, just round the corner from Matt and Ev's house. The tall structures are not chimneys, but part of the processing. To the left is the shore station for the Pohukura oil rig, which is visible out to sea. If you cross State Highway 3 you are at the point where Matt shot these photos a few years ago.

Great North Taranaki countryside!
