Tuscan views

 
The Youth Hostel at Tavernelle was one of the most congenial we stayed in. The young lady who managed it, seen here to the right in the photo, was friendly and vivacious, and could not do enough for us.

The other couple in the photo were Brazilians from the Sao Paolo region who left for home the next morning after this pleasant simple evening meal of local wine and bread with us.
 
In the morning we got up early and walked around the village and out into the countryside. Here is a Tuscan cottage we passed on our way
 
It was a glorious fine, still Autumn morning, and a very enjoyable walk.
 









 
 
 And this is the church in Greve, the centre of Chianti, where we had visited the day before.
