Musee d'Orsay
After lunch we walked across the river to the Musee D'Orsay, which was our No 1 gallery choice, to see the painters of the last 100 years or so.
As you can see we were spoilt for choice, and after a couple of hours our heads were spinning with all the impressionists, to say nothing of sculpture, carving and models.
We headed back to the hostel for an early night.
Here is the café beside the clock. This building used to be a railway station, and from the river you can see the huge clockface which told Parisians how late they were for their trains.
